Technical Documentation FAQ

Answers to common operational, hardware, and compliance questions.

What happens if a screen loses internet connectivity?

The Hype Loop player caches all active ad assets locally on device storage. If Wi-Fi or Ethernet drops, the player continues to loop cached media without interruption and syncs proof-of-play timestamps once connection is restored.

How is proof of play verified?

Every ad play is logged with a microsecond-accurate timestamp, duration, screen MAC address, and creative checksum recorded in a tamper-resistant local log file before upload to our analytics servers.

Can I run video ads with audio?

Audio playback depends on the venue category. Supermarkets, gyms, and cafes frequently support audio, whereas residential elevator screens typically run full-motion video with eye-catching subtitles for quiet environments.
